Student Wellbeing Support Officer Role
The Student Wellbeing Support Officer role is an initiative funded by NSW Department of Education in conjunction with local schools and community partners. It forms part of the wellbeing framework for schools, supporting schools to create learning environments that enable students to be healthy, happy, engaged and successful.

What could the role include?
The key tasks of the Student Wellbeing Officer will vary depending on the needs of individual school communities.
The role could include things like:
- Delivery of student resilience and wellbeing services
- Providing student support and referral during times of grief or personal emotional challenge
- Organising one on one or group sessions with students and staff
- Mentoring / Coaching
- Facilitating partnership programs between the school and the local community
- Delivering programs or activities which promote healthy lifestyle and choices
- Promoting positive relationships, friendships and social skills in the playground
