Delivering Wellbeing & Resilience Building Programs
Bridging the Gap has almost 40 years’ experience delivering wellbeing and resilience building programs in Primary and High Schools supporting children and young people at risk of disengaging from school and/or home. Our Student Wellbeing and Chaplaincy staff work closely with their schools to identify wellbeing needs, understand the demography of the area including CALD and indigenous student needs, to identify issues impacting students, to understand the level of social and economic advantage/disadvantage and to get a feel for the schools’ unique character.
Schools are intimately aware of their students’ needs and can provide rich input as to the type of programs and activities needed to support their students. We encourage the Student Wellbeing Officer/Chaplain to be involved with the Learning Support or Wellbeing teams to help match their skills and support to the school’s wellbeing goals.
