We use a variety of art, play and creative techniques to alleviate mild, moderate and chronic psychological and emotional conditions.
What is Art Therapy?
Art Therapy is a type of therapy where art can be used to communicate or express thoughts and feelings.
Art-making skills are not necessary. Instead, the focus is on the process of making art to better understand thoughts, feeling, and experiences.
Who can use Art Therapy?
Art Therapy can be used with participants who have experienced emotional problems, anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, family separation, grief & loss, bullying, developmental disorders, live with a disability or who are struggling socially or academically.
It helps express feelings not just through discussion, but through drawing, painting and sculpting. Art Therapy is great for children from 5 years, young people and adults, and can work effectively in strengthening Parent/Child relationships.
It can be especially helpful for people whose first language is other than English or who have difficulty with verbal expression. Art Therapy uses a variety of mediums and creative processes to help alleviate the impacts of mild, moderate, and chronic psychological and emotional conditions.
Participants can use the learnings from Art Therapy to maintain their ongoing wellbeing.
